As a mapping technician for SDG&E, it is my job is to maintain and updated the digital schematics of the electrical systems the company is responsible. It is a very important role and I take plenty of pride in my work.
The best advantage of my job is that I have the chance to listen music, podcasts, and radio shows. I mostly listen to technology and travel podcasts. I also enjoy NPR shows like This American Life, A Prarie Home Companion, and the local San Diego KPBS show, A Way with Words.
Last year, I took up listening to audio books. I started with 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven Covey. Since, February of last year I have read at least a dozen books, ranging from non-fiction business books to classic and contemporary fiction.
